Call them the "Golden Quartet".

Keston Bledman, Marc Burns, Emmanuel Callender and Richard "Torpedo" Thompson are set for Olympic 4x100 metres gold.

The Trinidad and Tobago sprinters finished second at the 2008 Beijing Games, in China, but are expected to be upgraded to gold following the International Olympic Committee's disqualification of Nesta Carter and the Jamaica sprint relay team yesterday.

Aaron Armstrong, who ran for T&T in the qualifying round but was replaced by Callender in the final, will also benefit from the golden promotion.

No official statement on the reallocation of medals has yet been made.
